I can get timer apps for my phone… why do I need Timebirds?
Using your phone is absolutely fine…until you drop weights onto it, or until the screen goes to sleep mid-workout. Athletes we talked to also said they found calls and texts distracting - something coaches and PTs stressed, adding that they didn’t like personal notifications popping up in front of their clients. Timebirds allows you to leave your phone away and remain 100% focused on your training. Plus there’s the emotional connection to those LEDs that so many of us love so much!

Is Timebirds waterproof?
Timebirds is water-resistant. Sweat, rain and swimming pool splashes are completely fine. Timebirds is not rated for submerging in water.

Does Timebirds need a remote control?
We want to enable athletes to remain fully focused on their training, so Timebirds have been purposely designed to operate as stand-alone devices. All settings and modes are easily accessible using the soft keys located on top, so there is no need for a remote control or phone app. The only thing you need to take with you for your training is Timebirds.

Can you sync multiple units together?
This is something we will be exploring in the future. As of now, Timebirds operate independently. We really wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

Does Timebirds have beep sounds?
Yes! Just as you’d expect from your wall-mounted gym timer, Timebirds beeps the final 3 seconds before the time starts, to mark rounds in an EMOM or similar workouts; during transition from rest to work and work to rest periods in intervals, and at the end of your workout. Because we expect Timebirds to be used outdoors, indoors, and in busy gym environments, you can adjust the volume on your Timebirds timer accordingly, with the possibility to simply turn it off so you can keep your neighbours happy.

How long does the battery last?
Timebirds are fitted with a rechargeable battery, which will run up to 8 hours at full charge. It is rechargeable via the USB-C connector located on the back and will take about 4 hours from flat to full charge. We’ve also included a low battery warning signal so you never start a session with the risk of running out of battery mid-workout.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We will ship Timebirds anywhere in the world. To keep shipping costs down, we will calculate shipping costs once all the orders are placed and we know how many to ship to each country. We will contact you about shipping costs before shipping your Timebirds.

When will my order ship?
We will start the manufacturing as soon as the Kickstarter campaign ends (and we know how many to make). We’ve spent a lot of time and money refining the design to maximize robustness and quality while minimizing the amount of parts – this minimizes manufacturing lead time. We expect to ship out the first units in November.

How much is shipping going to cost?
We want to keep shipping costs as low as possible for you. We won’t have a firm answer on shipping rates until we know how many units to ship to each country. Timebirds is small and light enough to keep the shipping rates to a minimum. We will contact you after the campaign to finalize shipping cost. At that time, you’ll enter your shipping address and shipping options (insurance, etc.).

When will I receive my subscription or ebook for the bundles?
Approximately 30 days after the end of the Kickstarter campaign, we will send you details on how to access your bundle rewards. It is our intention to get you access ASAP, even before you receive your timer.

What does each Timebird include?
Each timebird comes with a black fabric soft sleeve, this is different that the protective case so feel free to grab one if you want extra protection. Each timebird also comes with a charging cable.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
